The job you actually do

Getting the document to the PC was never the hard part.

Anything can move a file. What takes the time is everything after it lands.

Today

  1. Photograph the document
  2. Email it to yourself, or plug in a cable
  3. Walk to the PC
  4. Find it in Downloads
  5. Rename it to something you will recognise
  6. Navigate to the client folder
  7. Drag it in

With Snap2PC

  1. Photograph the document
  2. Choose the client and tap send

It is in the right folder, correctly named, before you have put the paper down.

How it works

Four steps, once.

1

Install on the PC that should receive documents

It runs quietly in the tray. This is where you decide which folders documents may go to, and what they get called when they arrive.

2

Pair by scanning the code on screen

The PC shows a code; your phone reads it. That is the entire setup — and it is also what makes the connection private, because the keys travel over light rather than over the network.

3

Scan paper, or send a file you already have

The camera crops and straightens automatically. A PDF someone emailed you works just as well — it keeps the name it already had.

4

It arrives named and filed

Your naming rules are applied on the PC. An existing file is never overwritten; if the name is taken, a counter is added.

What makes it different

It files into folders the big platforms cannot reach.

Your file server, not someone's cloud

Documents go to the folders you already use — including network shares and mapped drives. They never pass through anyone else's service on the way.

Naming rules, not timestamps

Build the filename from the date, the client folder, the document type and a reference you type when sending. Set it once; every document follows it.

Sealed end to end

Each document is encrypted on the phone so only the PC you paired with can open it. The filename and folder are encrypted too — they say as much about a document as its contents.

Free, and we never see a document

An account tells your PC which phones belong to your firm, so it can refuse the ones that do not. It is free, and it never carries a document, a file name or a folder name.

Nothing is lost if the PC is off

A document you send waits on the phone and goes by itself as soon as the PC can be reached. You can put the paper away immediately.

It tells you the truth

Every document is confirmed individually by the PC that wrote it. A batch that half-arrived says so, rather than showing a tick over a lie.

Pricing

Free at home. $9.99 a month at work.

Phones are free and always will be — however many of them, however many documents. If you are using Snap2PC for your own paperwork on your own network, that is the whole price. Businesses pay per receiving PC, after a month to see whether it earns it.

Personal

$0

on your own network

  • Send to your PC over your own network
  • Unlimited documents
  • Unlimited phones
  • No account needed
  • No card required

Your own receipts, bills and paperwork, filed on the PC you are sitting next to. Not a cut-down version — the same app. Free for a limited time; we will give notice here and in the app before that changes.

Two things we will not do.

We never charge by volume. No page counts, no megabyte limits, no per-document fees. Metering usage would punish the people getting the most out of it, which is exactly backwards.

An expired licence never stops documents arriving. If a card fails or a subscription lapses, delivery keeps working — the PC simply behaves like a personal one until it is sorted out. Your scanning does not stop because our billing had a bad day.
